In winter we can see often fast-flying, small-sized songbirds.

However, we can see these birds not only in the forests, but also in parks and gardens.

The long-tailed tit (Aegithalos caudatus) has been described as a tiny (, round-bodied tit with a short, stubby bill and a very long, narrow tail. The plumage is mainly black and white, with variable amounts of grey and pink. Outside the breeding season they form compact flocks.

The other small songbird, the smallest bird species in Hungary, is the goldcrest (Regulus regulus). It has a bright head crest, usually yeallow.
